9 June 2017: Creating Permaculture Gardens

June 9 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

For 21 years, Cecilia Macaulay has been introducing Australia Permaculture to corporate and community groups in Japan and Australia. Using ‘Permanent Agriculture’ as a metaphor, she shows how to use ‘design power’, rather than willpower, to ease ourselves into getting things done, caring for ourselves properly, and as a side effect, creating a cared-for world.  Design projects include a food forest on Necker island for Richard Branson, with Mark Garratt. Tonight Cecilia will Introduce some of her favorite projects, and how she gathered the people, resources, including motivation. to make them all happen.  Gardens include a children’s Art School in Japan, a 70 year old boarding school, and projects in Australia, including Cecilia’s own share homes.  Entertaining and inspirational this talk is not one to miss.  Cecilia will encourage and equip you to get into action, in ways that go with, not against, your own nature.

This event is being hosted by St George/Sutherland  Group. The event is free to anyone who is a financial member of Permaculture Sydney South.  Visitors (non-members)  are welcome for an entry fee of $10.00.  If you would like to come along to this event or would like more information please email permaculturestgeorge@gmail.com or visit our facebook page.  Friday evening 9 June 2017 commencing at 7 pm.
