DESCRIPTION:Permaculture Sydney South invites all those interested in permaculture\, sustainability and the quality of our growing environment to come along to this session of Intro to Permaculture – Maintaining a Healthy Soil.  Matt Heffernan will be taking us through what soil is and how we can achieve a healthy complex soil structure.  Permaculture Sydney South will also have as our guest Councillor Wang(Georges River Council) and he will  briefly explain his Composting Revolution Project which is being promoted and supported by Georges River Council.

How do you design your home and garden using strategies derived from permaculture principles. \nFor our first session\, we will share our definitions of permaculture and discuss it’s origins. Yes\, bring your own definition. \nBut most importantly\, we will address in detail the design techniques to help make sense of the many options available in your garden layout. \nRather than randomly deciding what goes where\, these tools will give you confidence in making the complex decisions for a sensible design that is harmonious and highly productive. \nThis session will be followed by a visit to Matt’s home (by those who attend this session) so that you can see the practical results of following these permaculture principles. \nThe session starts at 7pm sharp Tuesday evening 13 February 2024. All sessions are part of your membership.  Casual attendance is welcome for a $10 fee.
