10 May 2022: FROG ID by Gracie Liu
10 May 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Gracie is completing a PhD at UNSW Sydney and the Australian Museum, where she is researching how human-driven habitat modification affects frogs using citizen science and field data. She also works at the Australian Museum and has identified thousands of frog calls submitted to the citizen science app, FrogID – Australia’s first national frog count.
Gracie will be talking about FrogID, what we’ve learnt from this data, and how you can help inform frog conservation. She will also be sharing tips on how to create a frog-friendly garden and will be pointing out some local frog species to keep your eyes (and ears!) out for.
Topics to be covered:
- The citizen science app, FrogID – what we’ve learnt from this data and how you can help inform frog conservation
- Frogs in your local area
- How to create a frog friendly garden
This presentation will be by Zoom. A link will be sent out prior to the presentation. Presentation will commence at 7 pm
