9 July 2019: Maximizing Garden Resources & Yields

Come and Join Permaculture Sydney South as we have an open discussion on clever and unique ways we are improving our site yields. Matthew Heffernan will start with a presentation on some of the novel ways he is adding value and still making changes to his 15 year old garden.

There is a suitable food plant for every corner of the garden. With so many choices, it is a matter of selecting the right one.

• Create a compact home garden orchard with a year round supply of fruits
• Are we maximising our water resources? We look at storage and irrigation techniques
• Are we recycling all our garden waste?
• Are we using our structures and vertical space?
• Storing produce over winter?
• Making subtle (or not) use of the nature strip?

After Matt’s presentation we invite you all to tell us your secrets that have paid off, and perhaps some failures too.
