10 July 2018: Backyard Bee Keeping

10 July 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Lucy is a passionate novice beekeeper, with a warre hive in her Marrickville backyard. With a large veggie patch and situated on the edge of the golf club and Cooks River, the bees have an abundance of native and non-native nectar to feed on. Being an avid gardener, and committed environmentalist, bees were just a natural progression for Lucy’s productive backyard.  Lucy will share with us her beekeeping journey including both the struggles and rewards.  If you have been thinking of getting a hive or just want to know more about bees and Lucy’s experiences, then please join us for the evening.

Entry cost is free to all financial members.  Non-members $10 to be collected at the door.  If you are interested in coming along or want more information and are not currently a member, please contact permaculturestgeorge@gmail.com.  The evening presentation will commence at 7.00 pm
