14 October 2016: Maximising Your Garden Bounty
14 October 2016 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Got a tree full of Limes or Lemons? Don’t let them go to waste! St George/Sutherland Permaculture Group will be running a workshop to show you how you can use every part of your lemons & limes. Turn them into cordials, preserve them for use in marinades and accompaniments such as pickles and chutneys, make your own Limon Cello liquor, use them to make delicious desserts like sticky lemon puddings, tarts and sorbets or just simply freeze them in ice cube trays – very handy for cocktail hour or for just a refreshing hit of Vitamin C.
Maximise the use of your herbal bounty by drying them to make your own herbal tea blends, ‘bouquet garnis’, handy herbal/salt sprinkles for BBQ’s, home remedies for a variety of ailments, chemical free room fresheners, and save money by making your own herbal gift baskets.
Share your surplus and share your ideas. Use everything at its optimum level. That’s the ethics of Permaculture. If you are a financial member of Permaculture Sydney South you are welcome to come along and discover lots of new ways to use your garden produce. Visitors are welcome for a door entry fee of $10.
* Please Note that this presentation was originally scheduled for 12 August 2016 but unfortunately we have had to change the date to 14 October 2016
